Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Timberwolves signed both of their first-round picks of this year's NBA Draft, guard/forward Shabazz Muhammad and center Gorgui Dieng, on Saturday.

Per team policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Both players' rights were acquired in a draft-day trade with the Utah Jazz in exchange for the draft rights to Michigan guard Trey Burke, taken by Minnesota with the ninth overall pick.

Muhammad, the 14th overall selection, spent one season at UCLA. He averaged 17.9 points per game, fourth-best in the Pac-12 conference and second all-time among UCLA freshmen, and led the Bruins to a 25-10 record.

A first team All-Pac 12 selection, the 6-foot-5 Muhammad helped UCLA win the Pac-12 regular-season title and a runner-up finish in the conference tournament. The Bruins also earned an NCAA Tournament berth, but were ousted in the second round by Minnesota.

Dieng, the 21st overall pick, averaged 9.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per contest for national champion Louisville last season. He was selected to the All-Big East first team and was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.

The 6-foot-11 Dieng averaged 8.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks during the Cardinals' NCAA championship run, while shooting 77.4 percent from the field in the tournament.
