Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley is probable to participate in Wednesday's Game 2 of the team's Western Conference quarterfinals series with the Portland Trail Blazers after an MRI revealed no serious issues with his ailing right knee.
Beverley, who missed more than two weeks with a torn meniscus in the same knee prior to returning to action on Apr. 12, suffered a sprain during Sunday's loss to the Trail Blazers. The defensive stopper still managed to play 38 minutes in the game, recording nine points and six rebounds before eventually fouling out in overtime of the 122-120 setback.
The second-year pro averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists while starting 55-of-56 games for the fourth-seeded Rockets during the regular season.
