Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) - The Brooklyn Nets have waived forward D.J. White.

The move comes less than a week after White was acquired from Boston as part of the blockbuster deal that included Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry.

White averaged 2.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 12 games with the Celtics last season. The five-year veteran owns career averages of 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds in 136 games with Boston, Charlotte and Oklahoma City.
