New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and Boston Celtics big man Jared Sullinger have been named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for the period ending Feb. 9.
Durant averaged 31.8 points, 9.0 assists and 8.0 rebounds in guiding the Thunder to a 3-1 week, with wins over the Grizzlies, Timberwolves and Knicks. He posted a pair of double-doubles, including a 41-point, 10-rebound effort against New York while finishing an assist shy of a triple-double.
This was Durant's seventh Player of the Week award already this season.
Sullinger claimed the first Player of the Week nod of his career after averaging 20.3 points and 12.7 rebounds and recording double-doubles in all three of Boston's games last week. The Celtics went 2-1 during that stretch.
In addition, Sullinger scored a career-high 31 points with 16 boards in a win over Sacramento on Feb. 7.
