Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired infielder Michael Young and cash considerations from the Texas Rangers in exchange for relief pitcher Josh Lindblom and pitching prospect Lisalverto Bonilla.

Young, who had spent his entire 13-year career in Texas, agreed to waive his no-trade clause in order to join the Phillies.

He leaves Texas as the club's all time leader in hits (2,230), runs (1,085) and games played (1,823).

The seven-time All-Star had a down season last year, batting just .277 with eight home runs and 67 runs batted in over 156 games.

Since being selected in the fifth round of the 1997 amateur draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, the 36-year-old California native has compiled a .301 average with 177 homers and 984 RBI over 1,823 games with the Rangers.

Lindblom was acquired by the Phillies from the Los Angeles Dodgers just before the trade deadline last season in exchange for outfielder Shane Victorino.

In 74 games with the Phillies and Dodgers, the 25-year-old right-hander posted a 3-5 record with a 3.55 earned run average.

Bonilla, 22, owns a 16-13 record with a 2.50 ERA over four minor league seasons, all in the Phillies organization.
