Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The San Diego Padres recalled pitcher Tyson Ross from Triple-A Tucson and the right-hander will start Tuesday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Ross, 26, will be making his second stint with the Padres this season and his fourth start. He has made 22 appearances overall for the Padres this season, posting a 0-3 record with a 3.60 ERA with 34 strikeouts against 21 walks. In his three previous starts for San Diego this year, Ross is 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA.
To make room for Ross, the club optioned right-handed pitcher Miles Mikolas to Tucson after Monday's game. Mikolas made one appearance, pitching a scoreless ninth inning against the Giants on July 21.
