Nats put Ramos on paternity leave

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos has been placed on paternity leave.

Ramos and his wife are expecting their first child.

In 50 games for the Nats this season, Ramos is batting .295 with four homers and 26 runs batted in.

The Nationals recalled catcher Sandy Leon from Triple-A Syracuse to fill the roster spot. He has appeared in 18 games for the Nats this season and has a homer and three RBI.
