Recap: Colorado vs. Los Angeles

Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Adrian Gonzalez drove in three runs and the Los Angeles Dodgers used an eight-run sixth inning to defeat the Colorado Rockies, 11-3, in the opener of a three-game set on Monday.

Matt Kemp hit a two-run homer, Justin Turner drove in two runs with a double and Juan Uribe finished 3-for-4 with a run scored for the Dodgers, who have won eight of their last nine games against the Rockies.

"Some guys just do well against other teams. I guess they are just one of those teams (for me). I do enjoy hitting here," Kemp said.

Jamey Wright (5-4) earned the win after allowing one run on two hits during the fifth inning. Starter Roberto Hernandez gave up two runs on six hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings of work.

Wilin Rosario homered and Michael Cuddyer and Corey Dickerson each supplied an RBI for Colorado, which has lost its last seven games.

Christian Bergman (2-3) was tagged with the loss after giving up six runs on nine hits across five-plus frames.

"We haven't been playing well right now," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "Obviously, the sixth got away from us."

Los Angeles exploded for eight runs in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. Carl Crawford was hit by a pitch to start the frame and Uribe and A.J. Ellis followed with singles to load the bases.

Turner greeted Rex Brothers with a two-run double and Dee Gordon drove in another with a base knock to left. Nick Masset took the mound and didn't fare much better. Yasiel Puig walked and Gonzalez hit a two-run single to right. Hanley Ramirez and Uribe each supplied an RBI double around Carl Crawford's sacrifice fly for an 11-3 game.

Kemp crushed a two-run shot to right-center field to start the scoring for the Dodgers in the first.

The Rockies responded with a run in both the first and second innings.

Cuddyer hit a two-out RBI double to left in the first and Rosario led off the second with his 11th home run of the season.

Rosario and Rafael Ynoa both singled and DJ LeMahieu walked to load the bases with one out in the fourth. Hernandez struck out Bergman and was replaced by Paco Rodriguez, who got Charlie Blackmon to ground into an inning-ending force out.

Gordon led off the fifth with a double and scored on Gonzalez's one-out double to give the Dodgers a brief lead. Dickerson's RBI single in the home half made it a 3-3 game.
