Recap: Colorado vs. San Diego

Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Jackson Williams smacked a three-run shot for his first career home run as the Colorado Rockies blanked the San Diego Padres, 6-0, to sweep a three-game set.

Nolan Arenado cracked a two-run blast, while Franklin Morales (6-7) struck out six, scattered four hits and walked two over six blank innings for the Rockies, who have won four games in a row.

"I made my pitches today," said Morales.

Tyson Ross (13-13) allowed three runs on seven hits and four walks with seven punchouts over 5 2/3 frames for San Diego, which has dropped five straight games.

The Rockies opened the scoring with three runs in the second, added two more in the seventh and another in the eighth.

Corey Dickerson led off the second with a single before Ben Paulsen grounded into a force out. D.J. LeMahieu then singled and Williams launched his three- run shot just over the wall in left.

"One big swing on a slider that was over the plate," said Padres manager Bud Black. "Very lengthy second inning, but (Ross) hung in there and got us into the sixth."

In the seventh, Rafael Ynoa began with a single and Arenado reached down and golfed his two-run blast into the seats in left-center.

Charlie Blackmon's RBI triple in the eighth gave Colorado its 6-0 cushion.

Game Notes

Ross was 6-2 in his last eight decisions coming in and moved to 0-4 in his career against the Rockies ... Colorado was 2-for-6 with runners in scoring position, while San Diego finished 0-for-5.
