Recap: Houston vs. Atlanta

Kissimmee, FL (Sports Network) - J.D. Martinez went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer to lead the Houston Astros to a 6-5 decision over the Atlanta Braves in spring training action.

Martinez's blast off Sean Gilmartin highlighted a four-run fourth inning for Houston, with Fernando Martinez adding an RBI single during the frame and Jose Altuve capping the uprising with a run-scoring double.

Carlos Pena contributed a solo homer to the victory, while Astros starter Dallas Kuechel scattered three hits over two scoreless innings.

Joey Terdoslavich went 4-for-4 with an RBI single to lead Atlanta offensively, with Freddie Freeman belting a solo homer in the setback.

Kris Medlen worked the first three innings for the Braves and allowed Pena's homer, with Gilmartin rocked for four runs on six hits over three frames in relief to take the loss.
