Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Cardinals recalled three pitchers from Triple-A Memphis prior to Tuesday's doubleheader in Pittsburgh.

The club called up Michael Blazek, Keith Butler and Tyler Lyons, who is slated to start the second game. St. Louis also optioned pitchers Marc Rzepczynski and Fernando Salas to Memphis, then traded Rzepczynski to the Cleveland Indians later in the day in exchange for minor league infielder Juan Herrera.

Lyons went 2-3 with a 5.51 ERA in six starts for the Cardinals earlier this season, but was jettisoned to Triple-A in June after going 0-3 with a 8.68 ERA in his last four outings.

Blazek appeared in four games for St. Louis earlier this season. The right- hander has gone 0-1 with a 1.41 ERA and nine saves with Double-A Springfield and Memphis.

Butler has posted a 1.98 ERA in 12 games for the Cardinals this year. The right-hander went 1-2 with a 2.81 ERA and eight saves between Springfield and Memphis.

Rzepczynski, who was a big part of St. Louis' bullpen last year, posted a 7.84 ERA in 11 games this season.

Salas went 0-2 with a 4.79 ERA in 19 appearances with the Cardinals.
