Flushing, NY ( - Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Juan Uribe was placed on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday after aggravating a previous right hamstring strain in the team's most recent game.

Uribe came up limping after running out a double in the ninth inning of Tuesday's 9-4 win over the Mets in New York. The veteran infielder had missed five straight contests with the injury earlier this month before returning to action on May 14.

The 35-year-old's .303 average this season is second-best among Dodger players, and he's recorded four home runs, 11 doubles and 18 RBI through 40 games thus far in 2014.

Infielder Erisbel Arruebarrena was promoted from Double-A Chattanooga to fill the available roster spot.

Signed to a five-year, $25 million contract out of Cuba by Los Angeles in February, Arruebarrena was hitting just .208 with a homer and six RBI over 25 games in his minor league debut.

The Dodgers also activated pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu from the DL, with the lefty slated to take the mound for Wednesday's matchup with the Mets.

It will be the first start since April 27 for Ryu, who had been temporarily shut down due to inflammation in his throwing shoulder. Prior to being shelved, the native Korean posted a 3-2 record with a 3.00 earned run average in seven outings.

Reliever Chris Withrow was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move, despite the right-hander having limited opponents to a .143 average while producing a 2.95 ERA in 20 appearances this season.
