Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Angels star outfielder Mike Trout was out of the starting lineup against Houston on Wednesday night because of a sore back but was not expected to go on the disabled list.

Trout left Tuesday's game in the second inning with back discomfort after missing the previous two games.

MRI results were negative.

The former AL Rookie of the Year and two-time MVP runner-up is batting .293 with a .379 on-base percentage, 11 home runs and 38 RBI in 54 games this season.
