Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago White Sox placed infielders Gordon Beckham and Jeff Keppinger on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, retroactive to March 21.

Beckham has been bothered by a strained left oblique, while Keppinger is recovering from right shoulder surgery.

Beckham, who was Chicago's Opening Day starter at second base from 2010-13, batted .267 with five home runs and 24 runs batted in over 103 games last season.

Keppinger hit .253 with four homers and 40 RBI over 117 games last season, his first with Chicago, before undergoing surgery on Sept. 26.

The White Sox open the 2014 campaign at home on Monday against Minnesota.
