Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Diamondbacks and relief pitcher Matt Reynolds have agreed to terms on a one-year contract that includes an option for 2015, the team announced Tuesday.

Reynolds, who underwent Tommy John surgery on Sept. 24 and is likely to miss the majority of the 2014 season, had been eligible for salary arbitration.

Acquired from the Colorado Rockies last November, Reynolds was having a solid first year in Arizona prior to landing on the disabled list in June with a strained left elbow. The 28-year-old southpaw produced a 1.98 earned run average with two saves in 30 appearances out of the bullpen.

Over 195 career games in the majors with Colorado and Arizona, Reynolds has compiled a 5-5 record with a 3.85 ERA.
