Morehead, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Morehead State's football team will try to build off coach Rob Tenyer's first season at the helm during its 12-game 2014 schedule announced on Monday.
Morehead State, which finished 3-9 in Tenyer's first season a year ago, will kick off the season on Aug. 30 at Richmond and play five home games.
The home opener on Sept. 6 will be against Pikesville. The Eagles also will host Campbell (Oct. 4, Homecoming), Jacksonville (Oct. 11), Valparaiso (Oct. 25) and Stetson (Nov. 15) in Pioneer Football League games.
The Eagles also will travel to Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 13) and Charlotte (Nov. 22) in non-league action, and Davidson (Sept. 20), Dayton (Oct. 18), Butler (Nov. 1) and San Diego (Nov. 8) within the PFL.
"Our players and staff laid the groundwork for future success in 2013, and we're looking forward to 2014," said Tenyer, whose team went 3-5 in the PFL. "We have a nice mix of quality returning players and talented newcomers, so it should be an exciting season for Eagle fans."
