(SportsNetwork.com) - The Florida Gators earned the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament after completing a perfect run through the Southeastern Conference.

The top-ranked Gators (32-2) are the No. 1 seed in the South Region.

Florida escaped with a 61-60 victory over Kentucky in the SEC championship game on Sunday, extending its school-record winning streak to 26 games.

Up first for the Gators will be the winner of a "First Four" game between America East champion Albany (18-14) and Northeast Conference champion Mount St. Mary's (16-16).

Kansas (24-9) received the No. 2 seed and will open against Eastern Kentucky (24-9), which captured the Ohio Valley Conference title.

The Jayhawks won the Big 12 regular-season crown, but lost in the semifinals of the conference tournament without big man Joel Embiid. The freshman center is expected to remain unavailable through the first week of the NCAA Tournament as he recovers from a back injury.

Syracuse (27-5) is the third seed, and UCLA (26-8) earned the fourth seed.

The Orange head to the "Big Dance" on a bit of slump, having lost five of seven after opening 25-0, and will play Mid-American champion Western Michigan (23-9)

UCLA will take on Conference USA champ Tulsa (21-12) after besting Arizona in the Pac-12 Tournament final.

The remaining South Region games pit fifth-seeded VCU (26-8) against Southland champ Stephen F. Austin (31-2), sixth-seeded Ohio State (25-9) versus 11th- seeded Dayton (23-10), Mountain West tourney champion New Mexico (27-6) against 10th-seeded Stanford (21-12) and Colorado (23-11) versus Pittsburgh (25-9) in the 8-9 matchup.
