Funeral services set for Maikhail Miller

FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Former football star Maikhail Miller will be laid to rest Saturday.

Miller, 23, died in a traffic accident on Highway 78 near Holly Springs Saturday night.

The Fulton native was a standout player at Itawamba Agricultural High School.

He later signed with Ole Miss and stayed there two seasons before transferring to Murray State.

Miller had a standout season in 2013 was named to the Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer Team.

He left football in 2014 saying he was burned out.

Visitation will be held Friday night from 4 p.m. til 8 p.m. at the IAHS Gymnasium.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the school.

Senter Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
