Rick Jackson joined the WTVA News Team in September
of 2007. He is a recent grad of Auburn University, and
is never afraid to shout out an occassional, "WAR
EAGLE!" While attending Auburn, Rick anchored at
the campus news station, Eagle Eye News, and then went
on to host Eagle Eye TV. His yearn for Mass Communication
landed him an internship with ABC 33/40 in Birmingham,
Alabama. Taking advantage of his time there, Rick intereviewed
celebrities like Brian McKnight, John Edwards, and the
very comedic Sheryl Underwood. He lives by his personal
motto, "It's not my job to impress you, but to leave
an impression on you."
Rick is an active member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity,
Incorporated and in his spare time he enjoys working
within the organization, writing, traveling, and watching
a good movie. Although Rick misses his family and friends
back home in Montgomery County, Alabama, he is excited
to embrace the warmth of Tupelo and the adventure that
it has to offer him. Feel at liberty to email Rick at
