Kalisha Whitman joined WTVA in July of 2008. She
is a native of Hamilton, Alabama. Although she
is happy to be close to her family and friends, Kalisha
is extremely excited to call Mississippi her new home!
She is a proud Rattler, of Florida A&M University
in Tallahassee, Florida. Kalisha earned her Bachelors
degree in Broadcast Journalism at FAMU's School of
Journalism and Graphic Communication, in Spring of
2007.
She began her career with WCTV Eyewitness News in Tallahassee,
Florida. There she held may different positions:
associated producer, Internet reporter, field reporter,
and fill-in anchor.
Kalisha also worked for the Florida Channel, in Tallahassee.
As an associated producer for the Florida Channel,
she wrote news pertaining to government related topics,
for a commercial-free thirty minute newscast.
She enjoys what she does because she gets to meet people
everyday. Kalisha is fascinated at the opportunity
she has, through working in the news industry, to possibly
change lives and influence people daily.
