Beverly Tanner

Anchor (WTVA News Weekend Edition) - e-Mail
Beverly joined WTVA December 2007.  This award-winning journalist came here from KAUZ in Wichita Falls, TX.  There she anchored both the morning and noon shows as well as report and produced.  She quickly turned in her spurs and boots to come back to the Magnolia State.  Before KAUZ, she worked for WXVT in Greenville, MS.  She started as the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. producer, netting an Associated Press Award for the best newscast in the state of Mississippi,for the 10p.m. show.  She then moved up to reporter and shortly after morning anchor where she was profiled in the Delta's largest newspaper, the Delta Democrat Times.

Beverly's prior successes include news editing and production for a number of stations, including KTHV in Little Rock, Arkansas; KTVT in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; and KAIT in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  She graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology.

She's a proud member of the Church of Christ, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the National Association of Black Journalists, and the Asian American Journalists Association.
