ATTALA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man and woman were taken into custody in Attala County for a string of burglaries.

Sheriff Tim Nail says a neighbor saw the two take a John Deer Gator from a residence on Attala Road 4101.

Deputies later found the suspects, 34-year-old Elizabeth Steen and 30-year-old James David, at a Durant residence, where authorities say they had driven when the Gator had a flat tire.

WTVA news correspondent KosyOnline says authorities also found Steen and David in possession of a stolen deer stand and air tank.

They were both arrested for grand larceny and had their bonds set at $15,000 each.

They are currently being held at the Attala County Jail.
