ZION, Miss. (WTVA) — Residents of the Zion area of Pontotoc County were clearing away debris Thursday morning after stormy weather had moved through the prior afternoon.

They were thankful that the damage was not as bad as it could have been.

"We had some roof damage, and some of the netting blew off of my greenhouse," said Charles Golding, a resident who owns a plant nursery. "And we had a couple of trees blown down, and several areas around have quite a bit of tree damage."

There were no reported injuries during from the high winds.
