PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) -- Catching fish will be the order of the day in Pontotoc on Saturday.

Final preparations are underway for the second annual "Hooked on Pontotoc" fishing tournament.

The biggest fish contest is expected to draw a large crowd again this year to the Howard Stafford Park.

Pontotoc Lake will be center stage for the tournament which is open to all ages.

The first 50 children 12 and under to arrive will be given a free cane pole and some bait.

"We love to have activities that include the entire family-whether it's the little ones all the way up to the grandparents out their fishing," Chamber of Commerce Director Ellen Russell said.

The tournament begins at 6 a.m. and wraps up at 3 p.m.
