TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Tupelo Public Works Department will close one Tupelo road Wednesday to replace a cross drain.
The work will take place on Rook Road, also known as County Road 461 before the recent annexation.
The road will be closed between Mt. Vernon Road and Raven Wood Subdivision from 8 a.m. til 5 p.m.
Detour signs and message boards will be set up to mark the route around the work area.
The detour will use County Road 461 or County Road 1750 to Mt Vernon Road.
City officials say no driveways will be blocked by the work, but residents will have to the detour to get around the work area.
