OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Georgia woman has pleaded guilty to illegally receiving Social Security payments she was not entitled to.

Minnie Carr Williams, 64, of Riverdale entered the plea in U. S. District Court on Wednesday.

Williams is charged with failing to report the death of Elizabeth Strong, who lived in Clay County, to the Social Security Administration in 1982 and continuing to receive her SSA benefits until October of 2008.

A two count federal indictment says during that time, Williams collected over $141,000 in benefits paid in Strong's name.

Williams faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

She will be sentenced at a later date.
