OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A West Point woman has pleaded guilty to taking money from the Social Security administration she wasn't entitled to receive.
Ethelene Pridgeon, 57, entered the guilty plea in U. S. District Court in Aberdeen Tuesday.
A grand jury indictment handed down in April says Pridgeon received over $53,000 in survivor benefits from August of 2001 to May of 2008.
The indictment accuses her of taking the money even though she knew she was not entitled to receive the benefit.
The charge carries a maximum 10 years in prison.
Pridgeon will be sentenced at a later date.
