TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA)--A dream came true Monday for a five-year-old Saltillo girl.

Thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South, Layla Gray and her family will soon visit Walt Disney World Resort.

Layla and her family enjoyed a dinner at the Fairpark Grill in Tupelo.

Afterwards, Layla walked the red carpet and escorted to a party room.

The curtains opened and Layla was able to see Disney princesses and Prince Charming.

"We're excited for her. She's been through a lot. We feel like she'll have a great time and get to take her mind off of all of that," said her mother April Gray.

"We're excited to be a part of Make-a-Wish. It's a great organization that provides a great need for children out there facing tough life challenges," said Fairpark Grill owner Bernard Bean.

The mid-south chapter has granted more than 4,000 wishes since its inception in 1986.
