TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Lee County authorities say three people found dead Tuesday morning in a home in the Macedonia community died from gunshot wounds.
The three are identified at Wiley Young, 55, Danica McCord, 46, and Destiny McCord, 13.
Sheriff Jim Johnson says they recovered a .45 caliber handgun at the scene of the shooting.
He says each person was shot one time.
The bodies were discovered by a family member, a Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks game warden, at a home on County Road 49 around 9 a.m.
He says the bodies were found in the living room and kitchen of the home.
Johnson says there was no sign of forced entry.
WTVA's CJ Lemaster says the sheriff would not confirm it was a murder suicide, but did say the homicide was confined to the residence.
Johnson says Young and Danica McCord were engaged.
He says Destiny was Danica McCord's daughter.
Johnson says the autopsies will be performed as part of the investigation.
