COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man from Lowndes County is now facing charges in connection with a shooting that happened in the early morning hours on New Year's Day.
Investigators say Devin Montgomery, 20, of Columbus, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon or other means to produce death.
This arrest was in connection with the shooting that occurred at the Sprint Mart on Highway 69 South.
This case is still being investigated and more arrests are expected.
Bond for Montgomery has been set at $5000.00. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 7, 2013.
