STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Starkville Police Department has concluded its investigation into a fatal traffic crash that happened on January 25, 2013 on Louisville Street in front of Starkville High School.
The crash involved a Pontiac Grand Am driven by Jeree Blackwell, 25, of Starkville and a Jeep Wrangler driven by Christopher James, 22, of Madison.
Blackwell and James were both treated for injuries.
Deseane Robinson, 23, of Starkville, was a passenger in one of the vehicles and was killed in the crash.
Blackwell is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol 2nd offense and suspended driver’s license.
James is charged with two felony counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, resulting in injury and death.
These charges are a result of blood analysis conducted by the Mississippi Crime Lab.
Both individuals have been arrested and released on bond.
Blackwell is out on a $1,551 bond, and James is out on a $20,000 bond.
