Two face drug charges in Prentiss County

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- Prentiss County authorities say they have charged two people in connection with seperate drug investigations in the county.

Sheriff Randy Tolar says Billy Wayne Prentiss, 48, of County Road 8541 in Booneville was arrested early Friday and charged with manufacture and possession of a controlled substance.

Officers and corrections officials discovered a meth lab on the property during a home visit.

Bond was set at $10,000, but Prentiss is currently being held for MDOC on a probation violation.

Tolar says investigators also arrested Frederick Eugene Ragin, 42, of Booneville and charged him with three counts of sale of a controlled substance.

His bond has been set at $50,000.
