IUKA, Miss. (WTVA) — Two fishermen died Saturday after a boating accident on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in northern Tishomingo County.

Coroner Mack Wilemon has identified the men as 40-year-old Jeremie Floyd and 39-year-old Carey Downs, both of Counce, Tennessee.

According to Wilemon, the deaths occurred shortly past midnight when the two were thrown from their boat after it had struck a moored barge near Goat Island.

The bodies were recovered from the water Saturday morning.
