WATER VALLEY, Miss. (WTVA) -- Two men have been arrested and the search is on for a third wanted in connection with a New Year's Eve shooting in Water Valley.
Police Chief Mike King says James Wilton Johnson, Jr. 25, of Water Valley was arrested by U. S. Marshals in Desoto County last week.
He says Spencer Morgan, 40, of Water Valley also surrendered to Lafayette County authorities.
King says Latonya Dewayne Carr, 33, was shot multiple times during a drug related incident on Fly Street around 3 p.m. New Year's Eve.
He died January 8 at a Memphis hospital.
Morgan is being held on a $250,000 bond, while Johnson is being held for the Mississippi Department of Corrections on a probation violation.
Authorities say they are still looking for Kevin Kuykendall, 34, of Water Valley. who also uses the name Kevin Kelly.
