TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The city of Tupelo is the "Healthiest Town in Mississippi" according to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation.
The insurance provider presented the award to the Mayor's Health Task Force during the Mississippi Municipal League Conference Wednesday.
The award was created to encourage and reward community health and fitness.
The Healthiest Town in Mississippi designation comes with a $50,000 grant.
