TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- One local group has been honored for its efforts to beautify the community.
Keep Tupelo Beautiful was awarded the Keep America Beautiful President's Circle Award.
The award recognizes work to build and sustain vibrant communities.
Tupelo was selected for conducting an annual Community Appearance Index, calculating the affiliate’s cost/benefit ratio, and administering activities in the areas of litter prevention, recycling and waste reduction, and beautification and community greening.
Keep Tupelo Beautiful has been working in the community for the last 25 years.
