STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- The state treasurer for the State of Mississippi Horseshow Association is facing criminal charges.
According to investigators with the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department, deputies arrested Beth Sykes Collum, 48, on Friday, November 16.
The Eupora native is charged with one count of embezzlement.
Collum was arrested following an investigation into funds missing from the State of Mississippi Horseshow Association.
She has served as the state treasurer for the association since 2008.
Collum is currently out on a $10,000 bond.
