JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The Mississippi Department of Transportation is warning drivers about a possible delay on some major highways due to a wide load that will be delivered.
The 261,000-pound load will leave Holly Springs Wednesday for the trip to the Port of Yellow Creek in Tishomingo County.
MDOT said the load will travel east on Highway 72 through Benton, Tippah and Alcorn counties.
It will then head north on Highway 45 west of Corinth before heading east on Highway 2.
The load will later enter Tishomingo County on Highway 350 and head east to Highway 25. From there, it'll head to County Road 370 before arriving at the Port of Yellow Creek.
Law enforcement and utility bucket trucks will accompany the wide load during the entire trip.
