BLUE SPRINGS, Miss. (WTVA) -- Toyota has donated 29 vehicles to Pontotoc, Union and Lee counties.
Itawamba Community College and Northeast Mississippi Community College will receive vehicles as well.
"We're very excited to support these events as much as we can to help educate and also train folks because they could be a future employee for us as well," Toyota Vice President of Manufacturing Phil Rodi said.
ICC instructors will take their cars to the classroom. They will be the focus of automotive technology studies.
"The technology on these cars is far beyond the vehicles that we'll get in our program, and it's just gonna help us train our students to be better diagnosticians, which is what the industry is looking for," ICC Automotive Technology Program Director Brad Crowder said.
"We applaud Toyota for their vision and for their commitment and for putting skin in the game, as we say," ICC President Dr. David Cole said.
What happens to the rest of the vehicles may surprise you.
Local emergency management agency directors plan to give their vehicles a severe beating, which may be more painful for them.
"Very painful. It's very painful because they're just like showroom cars," Pontotoc County EMA Director Ricky Jaggers said.
"We're actually going to crush them and make them look like a wreck and tear them apart and find those features and things," Jaggers added.
"If it wasn't for Toyota donating these vehicles, the only practice that you can basically get [as an emergency responder] is during a real emergency, and that's not the best time to practice," Union County EMA Director Curt Clayton said.
