TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — The GumTree Museum of Art in Tupelo will soon offer a Japanese art education series for the community.
It's all thanks to a $17,350 donation from Toyota Manufacturing Mississippi.
The program, entitled Cultural Connections, will focus on exploring Japanese art from teacher workshops to youth activities.
"[It] allows them an opportunity to come into the museum and either have a hands-on art experience for their classroom or for a group of classes," said Kit Stafford. "[Another option] is to train teachers to take this information back and implement it into their curriculum."
