FRENCH CAMP, Miss. (WTVA) -- Elected officials in the town of French Camp and one Choctaw County constable are the newest members of the Republican Party in Mississippi.

GOP officials say the official announcement will be made Wednesday night during a ceremony in Jackson.

Mayor H. Glen Barlow and aldermen Rebecca Stevens, Peter J. Pendleton, Jennifer C. Morgan, Jan Henderson, and Becky Rogers are all unopposed in the upcoming municipal elections in the Choctaw County town.

Choctaw County Post 1 Constable Thomas Rayburn won the general election in 2011.

Since 2009, GOP officials say 60 people have switched to the Republican Party in Mississippi.
