JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Development Authority’s Tourism Division is continuing its efforts to provide travelers and the general public with information regarding Tropical Storm Isaac.

Working with the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, MDA Tourism is providing information and links to MEMA updates, evacuation maps, closure and shelter lists, lodging availability by region, NOAA weather updates and more at
http://www.visitmississippi.org/mississippi-weather.aspx.

Currently, six Mississippi Welcome Centers are closed due to weather conditions:

Hancock County, Pearl River County, Jackson County, Pike County, Adams County and Woodville Hospitality Station.

Other Welcome Centers around the state are open and feature weather information via television screens located inside the centers.
