RIPLEY, Miss. (WTVA) - The Ripley Police Department says it provided some extra law enforcement presence today at one of the Tippah schools.

A spokesperson at the police department tells WTVA.com that there reportedly had been a threat made against a staff person.

Authorities did not say a specific staff member.

The spokesperson says extra officers were added to the school and monitored the property.
