COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- Workers at the Lowndes County courthouse are asking supervisors to improve security in the facility.
The request was made during the regular meeting of the board Friday morning.
Currently, bailiffs are only stationed at metal detectors when court is in session.
The workers requested having a deputy stationed at the courthouse each day.
County Administrator Ralph Billingsley says he and sheriff were asked to review the request and come back with recommendations.
