TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Students at Tupelo Middle School are being rewarded for their work in the classroom.

The Tupelo Public School District is recognizing students for their academic achievements.

Honor roll students are being handed out "Honor Roll" yard signs and stickers.

There are 1,118 students in the school district who have made the Superintendent's list and 1,787 students who are listed on the Principal's list.

Teachers at Tupelo Middle School delivered the signs and stickers to students who are setting a good example of academic achievement.

"The most success that you find is at Tupelo Middle School when students begin to grow," adds Kristy Luse, principal. "They experience enrichment and all kinds of diverse examples of the fine art they take here. I think there is a wonderful opportunity for everyone but the best part is to start with all A's and all B's and be successful academically."

Tupelo Middle School currently has around 1,200 students with nearly 300 being recognized for honor rolls honors.
