COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - A conference organized by the SmartBiz Program of Mississippi University for Women's Center for Creative Entrepreneurship is scheduled for November 6th in Belden.

Business owners along with industry and academic representatives will meet with students to discuss strategies for success.

The conference at ICC's Belden campus will give potential entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn how to make start-up businesses grow and become profitable.

"It is centered around taking advantage of what industry is already doing, and that is involving themselves in collaborative efforts where the rising tide will float all boats," said Lucy Betcher, administrator for the Center for Entrepreneurship. "That's true for small businesses as well as industry."

Each participant will receive individual guidance to optimize their operational soundness and profitability.
