PICAYUNE, Miss. (AP) - A tow truck driver was killed Thursday morning in Picayune when a tree fell on his truck, the first fatality in Mississippi from Tropical Storm Isaac.
Pearl River County Emergency Management Director Danny Manley says the tree fell on the cab of the truck on Goodyear Boulevard in the Pearl River County city just after midnight, crushing the cab.
The area was receiving heavy rain and strong winds at the time from the storm.
Authorities are not releasing the man's name.
