NEW YORK, N.Y. (WTVA/AP) -- Stock markets around the world have declined on worries that newly re-elected President Barack Obama and the Congress will struggle to work out a budget deal.
As before the election, the most pressing immediate challenge is resolving the so-called "fiscal cliff'', the combination of higher taxes and government spending cuts that automatically take effect unless Congress agrees on a new budget by January 1.
