TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — Democrat Jason Shelton has released his plan for Tupelo if he is elected as the city's next mayor.
Standing in front of City Hall Thursday, Shelton said his priorities include transportation, urban renewal, economic development and open government.
But what does he see as the biggest issue facing the All America City?
"I think that housing and attracting working class families to call Tupelo home is the number one issue facing our city," said Shelton. "And I think I'm the right candidate to recruit working families to call Tupelo home."
Shelton faces Republican Fred Pitts in the June 4 general election.
