TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- About 800 runners prepared for the 32nd annual Tupelo Marathon Saturday.
This year's race has a new course.
It will start and end at the BancorpSouth Arena in downtown Tupelo.
The course will also take runners through residential parts of the city.
After the race is over, there will be live music and entertainment inside the arena.
"We're just what a marathon should be," race coordinator Mike Lail said. "You come, you run 26 miles, we take care of you and you have a good time afterward."
Proceeds from the marathon will go to the Women's First Resource Center in Tupelo.
